Which Law college should one opt for in India?
One can opt for any law college which is recognized and provides valid law degree from a recognized University. For example if you pass out from ILS Law College which is under the Pune University , a well known law college in Pune , what will eventually matter is whether while in college you have worked as internย with a good Senior Advocate because thats where you will learnย so it will notย matter much whether you pass out from the Number 1 law college or Number 10 . There is no formula for measuring which is 1 and 2 and so on . However it all depends on whether you want to choose litigation practice or which to opt for corporate law.
Litigation Practice
What is important is if you choose to be a litigator which is the final aim of most law students it will notย matter much about the law college ranking . What will matter is the Senior you have worked with and his approachย because finally your approach will also be similar while youย start your independent practice. But finally you will see as time passes by with practiceย you have developed your own style because every person thinks in his own unique style. Dont always be influenced by how others wouldย approach in aย particular situation .ย If youย have worked with a good Senior lawyer this will help you in the long run but after sayย 2 to 3 years of practice you will have your approach and this happens automatically . How to draft a Plaint?
Initially focus on how to draft a plaint in a civil suit.ย Its very simple start with a Petition in a divorce case . Follow how a petition is drafted in a divorce case . Usually divorce cases are easy to understand but that will give you an idea initially. Once you see a few matrimonial cases drafting it will not be difficult to draft a plaint in a civil suitย or even filing a criminal complaint. I’am saying this because its always better to opt for something simple and easy as a student and if you get an idea how things work you will see rest are all similar only the Acts are different.ย Even drafting will also be easy for you as finally all of them are alike. Start simple and you can do any complex matter in future . But if your beginning is difficult to grasp then you may loose interest in it.
